"fail" counting

teacher: ok everyone lets do a tally again
everyone: *sighs*
teacher: is everyone ready? do you need more time to finish your work?
lisa: miss, why dont you count everyone so we know the total?
teacher: good idea *counts everyone*
teacher: 24?
lisa: 24
teacher: ok lisa you can keep count of everyone, so we can have a double checker
lisa: umm... ok then
teacher: stand up
lisa stands up
teacher talks
lisa counts
teacher becomes fustrated that people arent contributing, etc
lisa is becoming bored and lazy
counts
teacher: how many people are there with their hands up?
lisa: i dont know, im counting the people with their hands down... then i'll minus that number from 24
teacher looks at lisa like shes saying "this girl is so strange"
teacher: ok.. im amazed *and laughs*
lisa countinues counting, takes out CAS and types...
teacher then laughs in histeria
everyone is like wondering why shes laughing
teacher's face turns red from laughing
lisa notices why teacher is laughing and starts laughing
teacher: ahhh... lisa youve made my day really
lisa: :)
teacher: lisa what maths are you doing? further? methods?
classmate: shes done methods and now doing specialist
teacher laughs even more
teacher: ahhh...lisa, lisa why do you count the people with their hands down when theres only little people with their hands up?
lisa: *laughs* i dont know
teacher: how many people do you have?
lisa: 7
teacher: i have 8 *bangs her head to the table*
classmate: well, specialist is a subject in which you work maths in complex ways. hahaha cant wait until mrs mac (specialist teacher) hears about this
lisa: :/
teacher still laughing
isa: you fail in counting
lisa: yeah...

by the way in the end, the teacher did do a re-count of the tally and i was right. it was 7. so i didnt actually fail counting. it was just that i like counting in a different way thats all :)
